Diana and Helen´s room is a stylish refined space almost 25 sq. meters, with high ceilings (3,61m) decorated with antique angels, white carpentry, double door, exquisite classic windows, pink walls and parquet flooring.

We are going to organize the space to make the most of it, diving it into different areas: sleeping area, working area, dressing up area and playing area.
We will work to offer a symmetric and harmonic furniture disposition to get a tidy atmosphere, so we will later add lots of special pieces to make it eclectic, cosy and fun.
- Working area: We will place the desks in front the windows to take advantage of the sun light. We will use the window shelf for pen vases. Between the two desk we will have a library and in each side some narrow shelves to show off the artworks.
- Playing area: We will have a huge space to play. It will be cosy thanks to the big iranian carpet. By the door we can have a big-toys display (little kitchen, tepee…).
- Sleeping area: In front of windows and desks will be the beds, both same design and linens. Between the beds we will have a small table (90cms) where we can put the dollhouse. As beds will be surronded by two closets, we will need to find an alternative to the bed side table. The solution is here: we will attach some small shelves to the closet and get light from a light garland that will be rolled up to the head of the bed.
- Dressing up area: Closets will be located by the sleeping area, so girls can sit in the bed when they dress up. Inside the door of a closets we will glue or attach a mirror. We will have extra storage space in the beautiful chest that will be in front of the entrance, in the center of the carpet.

Most of the furniture has already been chosen or reused, all of them very special pieces, with a strong personality. We suggest to use similar pieces for both girls to get a more homogeny and tidy space.
As Helen and Diana already have a Minnen bed we recommend to get another one. Same for the chair, we need to find a chair suitable for both, standard and junior size.
The chest of drawers will be in front of the entrance, in a very exposed place. We need a special classic design piece to match the rich ceiling of the room. It will be in a neutral color but not white, to stand out from the rest of the furniture. It can be green-grey, blue-grey, grey or even old red. As regards to the size, we will need a long chest (about 135-170cm long).

Helen and Diana will have a very stylish girly room with a strong personality and lots of special pieces and charming details. It will be a magic bucolic room, a eclectic space with a historic ceiling, contemporary design, antique pieces of furniture, exotic textiles, fun accessorizes and a exquisite doll house. Wendy, the girl from Peter Pan, could have lived in that room.
When we see the room, we will probably think the owners traveled a lot and got different things from all over. This room must be unique!

Emplearemos colores pasteles ajado.
We will use pastel colours, mainly shabby tones. Walls will go light pink, furniture in white and along the whole room we will have colorful details. The rug, in yellow and old red, will give an extravagant and exotic touch. Our color formula for Helen and Diana´s room will be: 45%light pink, 30%white and 25% shabby pastel tones.

To break the pink we will decorate the longest and more important wall, the one you see from the entrance. We will use small stickers (9cm long) in ivory colour. We choose ivory instead of white to resemble wallpaper and bring warmth to the room.
To place the vinyls on to your wall, I suggest you to divide it into 9cm squares, following the design show of the picture below, and stick them to the wall. Your wall is high and long, so be ready for a heavy work with 330 stickers. It will be worthy, you will get a fantastic decorated wall that will look like if you used wallpaper. You can find some inspiration here.

And here is the project!

The first impression we get when we open the door is: “it is special”. We see a big iranian rug with warm colors, an old impressive chest of drawers, probably antique and a decorated wall. The walls are pink but on the frontal wall we will stick vinyl’s with a lily flower shape, resembling a cosy wallpaper.
Contrasting the classic chest we see a modern coat hanger with the shape of a tree. This is a design from Michael Young and Katrin Petursdottir. That is where the girls will hang their things when they come from school.
On the right side, we find the beds and closet. It all looks very symmetrical, closets and beds are replicated, one for each sister, and in between them there is a minimal table with a fantastic doll house. Closet.bed.table.bed.closet. It is like a mirror! Can you guess who sleeps where??? An old fashion blackboard might help you!
There is a precise room for each thing, including a narrow shelf on the bedside (Bekväm Spice Rack painted in white). As we do not want to overload the table (it is only for the dollhouse) we will get night light with a light garland that will be rolled on the head of the bed. They have lots of small lights and will create a charming environment at night.
Under each bed we will have a white wood box for the sleepers during the day and extra pillows at night. The box will be the same design as the one close to the chest of drawers where Julia will have her toys.
On the top of each closet we will put two big wood boxes (you can take them from the fruit store!) to display the toys we put inside. That way we will create two “toy scenarios”. Charming, isn´t it?
Regarding the closets, we would suggest to attach a mirror to the inside of the wall. In a few years they will be grateful!

As we usually use the right door, on the left we get plenty of room to make a playing area. There, we can place a tepee or a small kitchen.
Windows are on the other side of the room, illuminating the working area: Two classic desks just under the window. Girls can use the windowsill as a shelf. They will also have shelves by their side. The ribba shelves will be very decorative. Their white will contrast the pink on the walls and their minimal design will add a contemporary touch to the room. This shelves are prefect not only for books but also for postcards, art works or other small things.
The rustic appearance of the desk will make a curious effect with the Ikea classic bookshelf: the Expedit! We will use some drawers to storage toys in the 4 holes below. On the top we will have a modern-retro lamp. A “&” sing that is not only beautiful but also represent what this room is about: two sisters, sharing, living togheter, Diana & Helen.
