Summer 2014: Ikea goes pink

¡El rosa está de enhorabuena! Ikea parece alejarse  del pistacho, omnipresente hasta ahora en sus artículos para niños, e introduce colores más pastel. Encontramos un montón de artículos que parecen sacados de una edición especial contra el cáncer de mama. ¡Todo es rosa!

El tono escogido es un pastel clarito que  combina fenomenal con blanco y también con tonos más oscuros. Os lo mostramos ya, por ejemplo en la cómoda BESUNGE de dos cajones. Sí, nos gusta el color, el diseño… ¡demasiado retro!

All is pink this spring-summer (ok, we are now at the end of the summer) in Ikea. We used to have pistachio green all over when looking for kids stuff at Ikea but now we can find more relaxing colors.

The pink that Ikea has chosen is very light and bright, we like it! It combines very well with white for a «baby  clean atmosphere» but also with dark colours. We start showing it to you with the Besunge 2 drawers chest. We like the colour, the style is too retro for us!

Esta cómoda tiene a juego un armario del mismo estilo y una cama.

We find the same style of the chest in the drawer and the bed. We love the bed, which is extensible and can adapt its size to the children´s.

Se tiñe de rosa la serie Mammut, con mesas y sillas de plástico para niños.

The Mammut serie also turns pink, with plastic table and chairs for the little ones.

El rosa pastel también esta en la iluminación, con las lámparas Snöig. La hay de mesa tipo flexo (¡nos gusta!) o como aplique de pared.

We find pink also fro lightning. The Snöig lamps is available for table and wall lamp. We prefer the first one!

Podemos completar el escritorio utilizando el macetero rosa Papaja para guardar bolis y pinturas.

We can use this pink Papaja plant pot to storage crayons.

Seguimos con el cuarto de la niña y vamos a por los textiles. ¡También en rosa!

Empezamos con la funda de edredón para cuna Nanig, de vichi rosa y blanco con un divertido dibujo en en el embozo. ¿Opinión de Kidmsopolitan? Aceptable, pero el fuerte de Ikea no es la ropa de cama, el precio está fenómeno pero para fundas de edredón bonitas nos iríamos a otro sitio…

 We now talk about textiles, of course in pink. 

This baby duvet cover callen Nanig in vichi (little squares) pink and white has some  little funny images. We like it but not too much. If we needed to buy a duvet cover we would go somewhere else, differnt to Ikea, although it will inevitable be more expensive.

Encontramos a juego las cortinas Nyvaken. Al igual que la funda de edredón, matrícula de honor en precio y en diseño aprueban pero no nos conquistan.

Here are the courtains, of course in pink. They are called Nyvaken and, as the duvet cover, they have an unbeatable price but we they don´t drive us crazy!

Hablando de telas, nos gustan estos paños de cocina Majlis (también de Ikea) con estampado estilo Cath Kidston. ¡Si eres habilidosa puedes hacer un cojín con ellos, siendo cada cara de un estampado!

We find our favorite textile in the Kitchen area. This dish towels have a design that resemble the Cath Kidston patterns.If you are a skilled mom you can transform then into reversible pillows!

Vamos a por los muebles de la habitación de esta imaginaria niña que quiere todo rosa claro y de Ikea, que cuando hay que recoger nunca hay suficiente espacio de almacenaje para taaaantos juguetes. ¿Qué encontramos en Ikea en rosa? Las puertas de los módulos de la seria Besta.

We now talk about furnishing. Storing is important when having kids and we never have enough space for so many bulky toys! Here we find this Besta doors. Adorable!

También en rosa encontramos la serie Stuva (lleva años en el mercado, no es novedad de primavera 2014).

Also in pink we get the Stuva Serie, not new but we still love it!

Las cajas para el módulo Trofast (tampoco son novedad).

En las paredes, no pueden faltar las estanterías rosas. Empezamos con la balda modelo Ekby Karl, de 119cm x 28cm que cuesta 21,99€.

Si hablamos de rosa e Ikea, no podemos dejar fuera la alfombra Hampen. No es de la colección primavera 2014 sino un clásico que… ¡Nos encanta y nos divierte un montón! Eso sí, su rosa es mas fuerte y estridente del que llevamos hablando hasta ahora. Si buscáis alfombras claritas y más bebé, mejor optar por las de Lorena Canals.

Pink and Ikea make me thing in this rug: the Hampen. It´s been long in Ikea but we don´t get tired of it. It is more bright than all the stuff we have seen until now, but we like its brightness and happiness. If you prefer more light pink rugs, you better find then in Lorena Canals.

Nos ha interrumpido la mesa cuando hablábamos de alfombras y no vamos a dejar de hablar de un «viejo amor», la alfombra Gulört, también rosa pero en este caso estampada en colores alegres, es un fichaje del año pasado (os lo conté aquí) que terminó en el hall de casa de Kidsmopolitan. ¡No deja a nadie indiferente!

We were talking about carpet or rugs when we where interrupted by the Micke desk… We go back to carpets to talk about the one we have in Kidsmopolitan´s home entrance. It is the Gulört rug, with pink back and colourful shapes. We talked about it here last year and I can see it has been a good pink purchase!
